(English Version)

Broken

I bid you farewell as our love was torn apart.
I regret losing you and I long for you endlessly.
We said goodbye that one last time,
And since then we have passed like ships in the night.
How could I have known where your ship was berthed?

You live in my dreams eternally.
My soul seemed to be lost in those memories,
When I heard a song from the old days.
As I played my piano,
A melancholy tune made me cry.
I heard the ballad resounding in my soul.

Wine flowed, but I didn’t drink,
Yet my soul was so intoxicated.
You were not hidden from sight,
So why were you so distant and cold?
In the wink of an eye, I could only see the seashore.
Your frail shadow had disappeared beyond the horizon.

My youthful dreams were so innocent.
Why did you break my fragile heart?
On that dreary night I was left waiting for you.
Someday your restless wings will grow tired.
In life’s setting sun, you will fly home to our nest.
