Drops Of Autumn Rain

Drops of autumn rain

Outside my window, drops of autumn rain fell softly and tenderly.
The sky was so desolate and bleak.
The gently blowing clouds came to a standstill,
On a light distant breeze.
And in that autumn rain, who cried and grieved together all those days and nights?

A few little birds were chirping on dripping branches,
As if they were gently advising the blue sky.
The wind was still,
The rain was mournful,
Our hearts were slowly and softly breaking.

The soul of autumn was pervasive in the air,
Spreading suffering and despair to everyone.
Our hearts seemed to be engulfed in vacant spaces.
Like the roof that was left covered letting in the damp chill.
Who sobbed and lamented for this life,
With their teardrops falling down like rain?
Oh, this world is so infinitely melancholy.

People expected the dark clouds to melt away,
And the winds to blow with gentle cool breezes.
While the clouds whispered to the blue sky.
Telling it that there was no joy in this life.
The rain still continued to fall ceaselessly.
How could we find respite from the grief of this mortal coil?

The wind came out of some place in the distance,
In which the dark clouds loomed on the lonesome horizon.
Oh, God, when will Ngâu’ s couple cease to lament the autumn?
